In 1989-90 the Clinton Co. Historical Commission issued Pioneer Certificates as a part of the county’s sesquicentennial celebration.  That project was terminated.

In 2004 the Genealogists of the Clinton Co. Historical Society initiated the Early Settlers and Early Families certification project to honor people for their connection to early residents of the county.  You can see the eligibility requirements and print the application form here. 

The applications, including documentation, for certificates issued to date in both programs are on file at the archives where they can be used by other researchers.
